I have owed the DW Mafia this song for so very long! This is not a perfect version by any means, or the final one, but I like it. (The polished version of this will be on the guitar, although I do love my little blue ukulele!)
For those of you wondering what this is, it’s a song based on the series 2 episode of Doctor Who, the Girl in the Fireplace. I’ve always thought that it was such a lovely and melancholy episode, and so I set down to write a song about it.
Ok, so I wanted to wait ‘til I did a legitimate recording with Courtney, but I’m too excited about this one. It’s the Doctor and his spaceship, the TARDIS, singing to each other. It’s meant to be a duet with a girl singing the second verse. I love love love the episode where the TARDIS is personified, it’s great. In fact, I think I’m going to watch it right now. Gahhh! TROCK ON!
I still listen to this soooo often! It’s just so bloody beautiful & sad & happy & just soooo perfect. It’s the most lovely love song I have heard so far.
Okay so I blogged about this a while ago, on my stealatimelord blog, and I was going to wait to put this one up, because this one and another one I’ve already put up are the only two I know of from Hello, Sweetie. But I can’t help myself, it’s just so awesome.
